A lot has happened since my last post, but one super fun thing is the launch of my Etsy Shop!
Why Etsy? Well…. I began studying Rosemaling a little over a year ago. It is something I have always wanted to try as a way to connect to my Scandinavian heritage so I began practicing by making little wooden ornaments. Turns out, I really love it!… and before I knew what was happening I had created a large collection of these little hand painted birds! The artwork seemed to resonate with a lot of others too, and I began getting lots of purchase inquiries (which was a delightful surprise!) So, my Etsy shop was born.
So far I mostly have been doing small projects such, such as the Christmas and Valentine’s Day ornaments, as a way to learn and practice, but recently I have been getting larger commissions and trying my hand at more ambitious pieces. It has truly been a fun endeavor and challenge.
